Mary I (1516-58); Queen of England 1553-7; hanging from Mary's girdle is a gilt and enamel reliquary with emblems of the Four Evangelists; the 'Tablet de Burbyone' listed in 1521 in the inventory of the collection of Mary's father, Henry VIII; diamond on her breast a gift from Emperor Charles V and the pendant pearl 'La Pelegrina' bought in 1969 by the actor Richard Burton and given as a Valentine present to Elizabeth Taylor;
