pamphlet advocating the assassination of Oliver Cromwell (1599-1658); probably the name of the author 'William Allen' is a pseudonym; authorship has been attributed to Silius Titus (?1623-1704) or Edward Sexby (1616-58); there is also a possibility that William Allen (a former Leveller) was involved or that his name was used; Cromwell took the threat very seriously;
