The Artist: Kate Yates
b.1937
Kate Yates was born in New York where she studied art. She lived in Florence where she continued to paint and work as a teacher. In 1966, she married and is now based in London where she exhibits work regularly at the Chelsea Art Society, The New English Art Club and the Royal Academy Summer Show. Her works in oils and watercolours reflect her extensive travels in landscapes and character studies.
