Treaty between France and the Holy Roman Empire, who had been at war since the War of the Spanish Succession; Les Plenipotentiares au Congres de Bade;on the left are the French signatories, Claude Hector Louis (1653-1734) Duc de Villars, Charles-Francois, Comte de Vintimille du Luc, Dominique Barberie de Saint-Contest and M. du Theil; on the right the Imperial envoys, Eugene Prince of Savoy (1663-1736) (Eugene de Savoie-Carignan), Graf Johann Peter Goes, Johann Friedrich, Graf von Seilern and Bendenrieter von Adelshausen; treaty complemented the earlier Treaties of Utrecht and Rastatt; Prince Eugene wears the Order of the Golden Fleece;
