About

Sacred Tooth Relic is only surviving relic of Buddha; Danta and Hemamala were son-in-law and daughter of Guhasiva of Kalinga, last Indian ruler to possess the relic; they brought it from India to Sri Lanka hidden in Hemamala's hair, as can be seen by the halo around her hair; relic now kept in Kandy in the Temple of the Tooth Relic;
