Born in Birmingham in October 1953, Kevin Parrish spent his formative years in the county of West Midlands. Although enjoying drawing and painting from an early age, Kevin first made a career as a Civil Engineering Technician/Draughtsman, on a contract and permanent basis in UK and overseas from 1971 to 1995.
In the early 1990s he returned to his love of art and has been painting professionally since 1995. Kevin has since developed his styles with portraiture, figurative, and landscape scenes, in a variety of genre. These include Railways, Canals, Dr Who, Celebrity Portraits and Pet Portraits.
His artwork has appeared on CD covers, limited edition giclee prints, boxed canvasses, calendars, magazines, brochures, greeting cards, postcards, jigsaw puzzles, rock music fan club newsletter covers, and CD Roms, etc. His artwork can be found in Private Collections in UK, Europe, and USA.
He has become renowned for his art creations in Progressive Rock Music fan clubs, including The Friends of Mike Pinder, The Moody Blues Fan Club and Yesworld.
From 2003 Kevin has been working on projects with Warwick Studios and has developed styles in Black and White using thinned oil paint. The paintings have a Retro "feel", and celebrate life in Britain in the 1960s and 70s.
He had two successful black and white exhibitions at the Gallery during 2005. He is now Resident Artist with Warwick Studios, and resides in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire UK.
