The Artist: Annabel Barrett
Annabel Barrett trained as a textile designer at the Leicester College of Art and worked in the fashion industry for several years. During this period she continued her artistic training ultimately specialising in botanical illustration.
Barrett teaches at local Adult Education Colleges around the country and is a member of both the Leicester and the Birmingham Societies of Botanical Artists. She paints in watercolour to render realistic botanical paintings of flowers, plants, fruit and vegetables with a contemporary and modern feel.
