La Justice de l'Empereur Othon; the emperor married the daughter of the king of Aragon but she fell in love with a count of the court who was beheaded when the emperor's wife accused him of making an attempt on her honour; this scene shows the count's wife proving his innocence by a trial by fire; she survived unharmed & the emperor's wife was burned alive;
