Paul Cooklin Prints, Posters & Canvas Art

Biography

Paul Cooklin describes the attractions of his photography as 'Allowing your mind to create its own picture... one of the reasons why abstract art is so appealing, as it allows the viewer to explore their own creativity'. He goes on to explain the themes underlying his work 'My imagery has become increasingly non-objective with no recognisable subject matter, the subject being the imagery itself. Non-objective art explores the potential of abstraction, the shape, depth, colours, tones, lines and texture, but does not try to pin down a subject. This lets the viewer respond emotionally to the piece'.
