For Andrew Ren, photography is a joy. It is a bridge that connects his inner being to the outside world. He tries to train his eye, and combine it with a constantly improving craftsmanship. He believes this combination of abilities is essential.

Andrew Ren is self-taught photographer. He sees his career as a process, a wonderful journey that he will take for the rest of his life. It is like a race that could be won by stamina and endurance. It's all about purifying oneself.

Andrew Ren uses Black and White film (Kodak 100tmx), mainly a linhof 6x9 camera, two Rolleiflex TLRs, sometimes a Pentax 67II camera.
