I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain 42 years before coming America in 2003. After finishing the Advertising and Marketing bachelor degree in Madrid in 1980, I started working in advertising agencies as Art Director and some years after as a Creative Director. Kenyon Eckhardt Group/Madrid, James Walter Thompson/Madrid, Mc Cann Erickson Group/Madrid, Ogilvy & Mather/Madrid, are some multinational advertising agencies where I developed my experience and skills in graphics and audiovisual design for more than 20 years. In 1991 I started my own advertising agency in Madrid and worked as Creative Manager until coming to America for the first time in 1999. This means I've always been in contact with the art daily: Illustrators, Photographers, Producers, Art Painters, Gallery owners, etc. and also worked as decorative faux finisher.
I started to work with computers in 1991, but before this all creative work was made easily. I always had paint and used all techniques. My work as an artist painter is a mix of techniques: Oil, Acrylics, pastels, photography and I developed my style as minimalist, using wide-open spaces, symmetric layouts and very conceptual art.
I work in Los Angeles, California as graphic designer and art director freelancer, but most of the time I work as a Faux Finisher and Muralist. Faux marble, Italian finishes, Classic Ornamentations Design, etc. are some of the areas I'm experienced in.
