Before becoming an artist, Linda Cullum expressed her creativity through the landscape design business that she ran for 25 years. In the early 90's she attended the School of Art at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where she took classes in art history, drawing, metalsmithing, and photography, with an emphasis on sculpture as a welder. After leaving school she taught herself to paint, using the natural world as her inspiration. Using her experience as a welder, she builds sculptural frames for her work out of steel that reflect and compliment elements in the paintings. Her work is in private collections across the United States.
