Biography
Patricia O'Brien's paintings have a concentrated stillness created with her own invented perspective. The women who are the focus of her work, emanate a mystical and evocative presence.
O'Brien has been a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Her painting of "The Fruit Eaters" was used to promote the Academy's 22nd Anniversary year. Since her first exhibition in 1978, collectors throughout Europe, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia have sought her work. Her work has been used for the covers of books by several authors.
