Primitive

Primitive art is primarily used to describe the sculptures and paintings of people living in tribal societies. The art and sculptures are created by people living in a materially undeveloped existence, and as such tribal art has no motivation towards realism. The aim of primitive art is to connect with the spiritual world so images, statues and masks are not required to meet with the laws of perspective; they are to be a vision of magic suitable for engaging spirits.
