An early view of Greenwich Palace, from Blackwall Reach. This shows the royal estate at Greenwich, seen from across the Thames. On the right is the southern tip of the Isle of Dogs, near the centre the twin Armoury towers can be seen. On the hill behind the towers Duke Humphrey's tower is visible, this was later replaced by the Royal Observatory. The scene is very idyllic, with people walking with dogs in foreground.
