Product details HMS 'Raleigh'
A painting showing the frigate 'HMS Raleigh' off Portsmouth. Most of her sails are lowered and she is sailing on her foresail in order to enter the harbour. The buildings of old Portsmouth are visible on the right and inside the harbour are a number of masts of ships at anchor. The old hulk of Britannia is visible inside the harbour. A small craft with red sails is shown sailing out of the mouth of the harbour. Built in Chatham in 1845 the ship was wrecked five years later in 1857.
