Product details London from the Shot Tower
London from the Shot Tower
A view of London and the Thames, seen from the Shot Tower near Waterloo Bridge. St Paul's Cathedral is prominent on the north (City) side of the river. A shot tower is where shot used to be made for guns. Molten lead was dropped from the melting chamber at the top of the tower through sieves down to water at the bottom, where it hardened and formed into balls of shot.
