This medieval map depicts the area around Jerusalem, from Gaza, which is shown in the bottom left to Mount Sinai in the top right hand corner. The city of Jerusalem is shown in the centre of the maps, The Red Sea is shown along the right hand side of the map, with Mount Sinai in the top right hand corner. The river Jordan is shown flowing from it's source (top left) through the Sea of Galilee to the Dead Sea, and the Red Sea is represented on the right side of the map, bordering with Egyptian lands. The colourful map includes illustrations: Moses is depicted on Mount Sinai (top left), in the top centre of the map the baptism of Jesus is shown, the Crucifixion of Christ is shown at Calvary below Jerusalem. This historic map is from Rudimentum noviciorum, published at Lubek in 1475.
