A taste of Geogrian fashion from the Gallery of Fashion. The image is described in the original text as as: Royal dress. As worn at the late procession to St. Paul’s. Chiffenet of gold net, ornamented with gold chain, cords and tassels; five ostrich feathers placed at the top of the head, and a diamond anchor in the front. Petticoat of rich point lace, bordered with white satin and scarlet velvet, and trimmed with a deep gold fringe. Robe of purple satin, short close sleeves, trimmed with narrow point ruffles; the whole bordered with scarlet velvet and a rich gold fringe. Tucker of point lace. Belt of solid gold.
