The 'Cathay' and the 'Rhodesia Star'

The P&O liner 'Cathay' (1961) and the Blue Star Line's 'Rhodesia Star' (1948) in the Royal Albert Dock in April 1964. The 'Cathay' was built by Cockerill-Ougree, as the 'Baudouinville'. She was bought and renamed by the P&O in 1961. She was used for the Far East service and carried a maximum of 209 passengers. P&O sold the vessel in 1976 to Chinese owners and she was renamed 'Kenghsin' and later 'Shanghai'.
