The drawing room of Crowley House, Greenwich

This view inside Crowley House looks westward in the abandoned first-floor drawing-room, which commanded fine views of the river from Deptford to Blackwall through the bow windows seen on the right. The House was of hollow rectangular plan, the windows on the left looking into a central courtyard, with the door at the far end probably communicating to the large dining room. A redrawn lithographic sketch of this drawing by H. H. Drake appears in his edition of 'Hasted's History of Kent' (vol. 1, 1886) facing p. 79.
