Velazquez

The artist Velasquez, or Diego Rodriguez de Silva y Velasquez to give him his full title, was a Spanish painter born in 1599 who came to be one of the greatest masters in art history. His most famous works include Las Meninas, Pope Innocent, The Surrender of Breda and The Rokeby Venus to escape the censorship of the Inquisition.
