Sprang to the Front and Though His Sword Was Broken He Engaged in Single Combat with Several of the Enemy. But for the Action of This Officer Sir Redvers Buller Thinks One or More of His Detachment Must Have Been Speared. for His Conspicuous Bravery on This Occasion Captain Wilson Has Been Awarded the Victoria Cross.
