250,000th Model T Ford produced at Manchester, 1925. Management and workers pose with the car to commemorate this production milestone. The hugely successful Model T was Britain's best-selling car from 1913 to 1923. The factory began assembling cars from imported parts in 1911, but by 1924 the vehicles were being constructed from 94 % British parts. In 1931, Ford switched its manufacturing activities to its massive new plant at Dagenham, Essex.
