Arrol-Johnston car at the Coupe de l'Auto, Dieppe, France, 1912. Civil engineer Sir William Arrol teamed up with George Johnston and several others in 1897, forming the Mo-Car Syndicate to produce Arrol-Johnston cars, one of the earliest Scottish makes.
