Every framed picture is created by hand in our workshop by specialist framers.
Black, white, silver, gold or natural frames available, supplied ready to hang.
All our frames have a smooth satin finish, and measure 20mm (front face) by 23mm (depth from wall).

Delivery & returns
We print everything to order so delivery times may vary but all framed pictures are despatched within 3 days.
Delivery to the UK, EU & US is free when you spend £75. Otherwise, delivery to the UK costs £10 for a single framed print.
We will happily replace your order if everything isn’t 100% perfect.

The 'goat-sucker of Carolina'
Bird identified by Catesby as 'Caprimulgus', the goat-sucker of Carolina (modern identification: a composite of three birds: Chordeiles minor, the common nighthawk; Caprimulgus carolinensis, the chuck-will's-widow; Caprimulgus vociferus, the whip-poor-will). The term 'goat-sucker' comes from the folk myth that these birds sucked the milk from goats. The bird is here depicted eating a mole cricket, Gryllotalpa gryllotalpa. Plate 8 from volume I of The natural history of Carolina, Florida and the Bahama Islands, by Mark Catesby (London, 1731). Mark Catesby was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1733.
