Anonymous

Edmund Goulding, British film director, 1933. Goulding (1891-1959) was a stage actor and director in London before serving in World War I. He emigrated to the United States in 1921 and began directing films. His 'Grand Hotel' (1932) starring Greta Garbo and Joan Crawford won an Oscar for Best Picture, but probably his most memorable film was the drama 'Nightmare Alley' (1947)
