'A Princely Ambassador', 1822. Full-lenght portrait of Prince Paul Anthony Esterhazy in profile, wearing a top hat, frock coat and carrying a goad in his right hand. Esterhazy was secretary of the Austrian embassy in London during the Napoleonic Wars, and became ambassador to England in 1815.
