Zoological studies of the giant tree frog, here styled Rana bicolore, now Phyllomedusa bicolor. This reptile is native to South America. Four figures, but only three numbered. Figure 3 a view of the head and forelimbs of the frog, in a natural landscape. Figure 4 a study of the head with the mouth open. Figure 5 a study of the rear legs and torso, from above. The final figure is an uncoloured key to the mouthparts shown in figure 4. Plate from the monograph Brief van Pieter Boddaert...Behelzende eene naauwkeurige Beschrijving...van den Twee-koleurigen Kikvorsch... (Amsterdam 1772). Inscribed: "IV Br. G. Dadelbeek pinxit. Bakker fecit." Pieter Boedaert (1730 or 1733-1795) was a Dutch physician and naturalist
