Plate 31, 'Monograph of the Coccidae of the British Isles', by Robert Newstead (Ray Society, 1900-1902). Figures 1-10 Parlatoria proteus, var. Crotonis, view of the insects on a portion of crotos leaf and detail studies of the adult male and female. Natural size and at x25, x40 and x600 magnifications. Signed below 'R.Newstead ad nat del.' Several of the individual figures are pasted onto a backing board which has four original figures. Two versions of the facing page are corrected [in pencil] proof versions of captions, 'Explanation of Plate XXXI.'
