Head and shoulders portrait of T C Allbutt, looking to the left as viewed. Abel is shown bearded and wearing a high white collar with a striped cravat held by a stick-pin. Printed below the image: "MAULL & FOX, 187a PICCADILLY, LONDON". The reverse has various inscriptions including the photograph number, "190814". Sir Thomas Clifford Allbutt was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1880.
