A pair of spectacles is visible at his waistcoat. In front of the sitter is a table and curtain. Printed below the image: "MAULL & POLYBLANK, LONDON". The reverse has various inscriptions including the photograph number, "28957". Sir Thomas Dyke Acland was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1839.
