Half-length portrait of Anderson, full face, his right arm slightly crooked. He is shown looking to camera and has a full white beard. Printed below the image: "MAULL & FOX, 187a PICCADILLY, LONDON". The reverse has various inscriptions including the photograph number, "192049". Sir William Anderson was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1891.
