Ornithological study of a male Australian King Parrot (Alisterus scapularis). Plate 11 from Journal of a voyage to New South Wales...by John White (J.Debrett, London, 1790). The accompanying text states that: "The Tabuan Parrot, one of which was observed here...is a bird about eighteen inches in length, and bigger than the Scarlet Lory..." The plate is inscribed: "S.Stone Delin. Tabuan Parrot. London Published Dec: 29, 1789, by I.Debrett."
