Plate 2 from the Croonian Lecture paper "Microscopical observations on the suspension of the muscular motions of the Vibria Tritici", by Francis Bauer, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol.113 (1823), pp.1-16. Figure 1 shows a group of worms of the wheat gall nemotode (Anguina tritici) in water and seen in the microscope field at x100 magnification. Figure 2 shows living and decaying worms in water at x200 magnification. Inscribed with publication and plate details.
